Post-op Rotator Cuff Repair – Phase 5

OVERVIEW

Rehabilitation time frames will differ between patients following rotator cuff repair and depend on the type of repair undertaken, the quality of the repaired tendon and significance of the injury. Given the delicate nature of healing, it is essential that you follow the advice of your surgeon and don’t progress to any phase of rehab unless your surgeon has cleared you.

Stage 1 exercises can commence 16 weeks following surgery, after clearance from your surgeon. Stage 2 exercises can commence 20 weeks following surgery.
